Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bentech (UK) Limited ("Bentech", "we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when you visit bentechuk.com or contact us. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Bentech (UK) Limited is a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 09480830), with registered office at Harrington House, Milton Road, Ickenham, Uxbridge UB10 8PU. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

What data we collect

  • Enquiry data — name, email, company, country, phone (optional), and the details of your enquiry, submitted via our contact form.
  • Communications — emails you send us and our replies.
  • Usage and device data — collected by Google Analytics (see Cookies & analytics below): pages visited, approximate location, device/browser, and referring source. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
  • To arrange sourcing, procurement and export logistics where you become a customer.
  • To send transactional or business communications related to your enquiry or order.
  • To understand site usage and improve our website and services.
  • To comply with our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

Legal bases

We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

  • Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, run our business, and analyse website usage.
  • Contract — to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform a contract with you.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with UK tax, customs and accounting requirements.
  • Consent — where required, e.g. for non-essential cookies.

Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics (provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd) to measure how visitors use our site. Google Analytics sets cookies that collect information such as pages viewed, time on site, device type and approximate location. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on or by disabling cookies in your browser.

We also use Google Ads measurement to see which adverts lead to quote requests. When you send a quote list, we record that a quote request happened, together with cookie and device data Google uses to attribute it to an advert. This is used for advertising measurement and campaign optimisation. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's business privacy notice. Visitors in the UK, EEA, Switzerland and Quebec are asked for consent before these cookies are used, and can change or withdraw that choice at any time using — withdrawal applies immediately.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with:

  • Suppliers, manufacturers and freight/shipping partners involved in fulfilling your order.
  • Service providers who host our website, email and analytics (including Google).
  • Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers) where required.
  • Regulators or authorities where we are required to by law.

Some of these providers (such as Google) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent.

How long we keep data

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer — in which case we retain records for at least 6 years to comply with UK accounting and tax law. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults (currently 14 months).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention rules).
  • Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
